The Frogwares development studio has been around since 2000 and they have provided several adventure games in the past. Most notably, this studio is known for its various Sherlock Holmes games and their upcoming release is one of the more ambitious Sherlock Holmes games to date.
Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is the first open-world adventure game for developers related to this IP. Players take on the role of a young Sherlock Holmes as he conducts his first extensive investigation, which is to find out who is responsible for his mother’s death.
Players will adventure around the world for clues, and it’s up to you how you deal with any problems that may arise, whether by cunning or brute force. Likewise, players won’t find John Watson around as a backup because you’re starting the game as a young Sherlock Holmes before the two meet.

12 Minutes – new adventure games
12 Minutes is one of the new adventure games by a former artist who worked at Rockstar Games and Ubisoft. The game is fairly simple to understand, and it mimics concepts like the movie Groundhog Day or The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in that the gamer has a time loop aspect.
To progress, players will replay a 12-minute cycle until they complete the tasks at hand. The game follows a man who learns that his wife is currently pregnant, but the celebration is cut short when a policeman bursts into the house and accuses his wife of murder. The scuffle ends with the wife dying, but then the game restarts and you have to navigate the day in hopes of finding a peaceful resolution.
It Takes Two
Hazelight has one of the new adventure games coming out this year, and if you’re unfamiliar with the studio’s name, you may already be familiar with their previous results. The story revolves around a little girl who finds out that her parents are about to divorce.
Suddenly after creating two dolls, the parents find themselves trapped in the figurines. To return to their normal bodies, the duo will have to work together to complete a series of missions.
