Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Some Small Tips We Want to Share

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing is an ideal form of living, with zero-interest mortgages and tree-grown money, where we have a caring group of friends and can become a master craftsman in furniture making just because someone left a note in a bottle on the beach. Below, there are some Animal Crossing: New Horizons tips we want to share with you in this article to help you enjoy the game more.

Upload Your Island – Animal Crossing: New Horizons

When you lie on the bed in the house, it will ask if you want to sleep. Say yes, and you will see Luna, who will offer to help you. To upload your island, just tell her “I’d like to share a dream.”

Once connected to the Internet, she will give you a Dream Address code to share that will represent your island. Your dream address will appear on your passport and on your map, so don’t stress about jotting down that address when she gives you the code at first.

Note that you can only upload to your island once a day.

Visit Other Islands By Using Dreams

After talking to Luna for the first time, you’ll be able to sleep at her home in any bed. Once you lie down, the game will ask if you want to dream. Choose yes, and you’ll be enveloped in a purple mist before meeting Luna again. Tell her you “want to dream” and she will ask you for a Dream Address to enter. After entering the island’s code, you will wake up from your bed before the Resident Service of the island you have chosen to visit. As a reminder, you won’t be able to do anything but visit all the attractions. But that’s okay!

When you’re ready to return to your own island, just lay back in bed.

Make Chat Less Insufferable

NookLink is an app within the Nintendo Switch Online app for iOS and Android smartphones. It has a number of different features, but the most useful is the chat function. You can use NookLink for voice or text chat, and it has more capabilities than an in-game keyboard.

Here’s how to set it up.

First, you need to download the Nintendo Switch Online app from the app store on your phone. Once it’s open and you’re signed in, select Animal Crossing: New Horizons from the “Game-specific services” list. If this is your first time opening the app, you’ll need to complete a few steps to connect the app to your game.

  • Open Animal Crossing to the title screen
  • Tap the minus (-) button on the Nintendo Switch (upper left corner)
  • Select “Install NookLink” and follow the instructions of Tom Nook
  • Restart the Nintendo Switch Online and NookLink apps

Customize your phone – Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Unlike furniture, you can’t customize your smartphone with one of the custom kits you get after attending Tom Nook’s customization workshop.

As Animal Crossing: New Horizons tip, to make your device unique, you need one specific item: a set of customizable phone cases. In our experience, this item started appearing in the station at the Resident Service around the time we started our migration in our first three additional dwellers.

The customizable phone case set costs 1,800 Nook Miles. But it doesn’t unlock immediately when you buy it: You’ll have to wait a day for it to be delivered to your home.

Once you have the kit, go to any workbench, select the “customize something” option and choose your kit. From there, you’ll be able to choose from a range of new colors for your phone case – or you can apply a custom design.

Customizable phone case kits are for one-time use only, so if you want to update your design, you’ll need to purchase a new one from Resident Services.
