OG bench ISSAA, following two benchings last month, CSGO OG team is now officially down to three players. Here are some information for you.
OG and Issa “ISSAA” Murad have decided to part ways
The European organization announced on Tuesday that CSGO OG and Issa “ISSAA” Murad have “mutually decided to part ways.” The move follows the team’s disappointing season in ESL Pro League Season 13, in which they were eliminated early after finishing fourth in Group A with two wins and three losses.
The 24 year old had been a member of CSGO OG‘s active roster since the organization’s entry into CS:GO in late 2019 with the signing of the then new international squad led by Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt.
In a statement, team coach Casper “ruggah” Due said, “It’s a decision we’ve taken with a heavy heart because ISSAA is a well respected and loved person within the team who always gave his all in the team’s interests, and did whatever was asked of him.”
“After a period of evaluation, it became clear to both parties that changes were required for ISSAA to thrive and OG to continue to improve, and that these paths would have to be pursued separately. I’m disappointed we weren’t able to provide ISSAA with the best possible opportunity to bang heads, as he has demonstrated throughout his career that he is a player capable of competing with the best on the server. We’ll miss ISSAA, and everyone at CSGO OG wishes him nothing but the best in the future.”
It is the second change in the squad
OG bench ISSAA, it is the second change in the European squad in less than a month, following OG’s decision to bench NBK- in late February after a string of early exits at the start of 2021.
Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen, who was officially listed as a stand-in in their matches in the prestigious league as well as in the DreamHack Masters closed qualifier, has been playing with OG. The Danish player is said to be in talks with OG about a long-term deal.
According to OG, the team will hold tryouts in the coming days to fill the two vacancies on the roster. OG has time on their side, as their next appearance in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown is less than a month away, on April 13-18.
For the time being, CSGO OG‘s roster is down to just three active players and a stand-in.
