Dota 2: The 4 Things that were the Highlights of Patch 7.28!

Dota 2

The latest Dota 2 patch, The Mistwood or patch 7.28, was released this morning. Many things have changed and been added in this 7.28 patch. However, we will now give you four things that are the highlights of this 7.28 patch.

The Arrival of a New Hero, Hoodwink

The highlight of the first 7.28 patch is the arrival of a new hero, Hoodwink. Hoodwink is a hero who is similar to a female ferret carrying a crossbow.

Hoodwink’s skill set is very similar to some of the skills from Windranger. Because of this similarity, many players refer to Hoodwink as Windranger’s pet.

Just like WIndranger, Hoodwink is expected to be a versatile hero who can play in many positions based on his skill set.

However, at the beginning of this release, it looks like we will see a lot of Hoodwink playing as a midlaner as a player’s effort to continue the tradition of Dota 2, when there are new heroes we have to try them as mid laners.

Aghanim’s Shards – Dota 2

The second highlight of patch 7.28 is that there is a new item, namely Aghanim’s Shards. In short, this item is a “cheap version” of Aghanim’s Scepter which can be purchased after the 20th minute. This item is available for all heroes.

For a price of 1,400 gold, you can get an upgrade for your hero skills. However, the upgrades given from Aghanim’s Shard will be different from the upgrades provided by Aghanim’s Scepter, so you can get two skill upgrades if you buy these two items.

Aghanim’s Shards will be consumed immediately once purchased, (like Aghanim’s Blessing) so these items will not take up any slot items.

Number of New Items added, Removed Iron Talon and Poor Man Shield

Dota 2

The third highlight of the 7.28 patch is the number of new items that have been included in the game. There are 12 new items added in this 7.28 patch. They are Fluffy Hat, Falcon Blade, Orb of Corrosion, Witch Blade, Gleipnir, Mage Slayer, Eternal Shroud, Helm of the Dominator (level 2), Overwhelming Blink, Swift Blink, Arcane Blink, and Wind Waker.

There is only one basic item added, namely the Fluffy Hat, while the rest are upgraded items.

There are three items that are the most talked about, namely Overwhelming Blink, Swift Blink, and Arcane Blink. These three items are upgrades from Blink Dagger with effects that we think are quite OP for each item.

Sven Gets Nerf – Dota 2

Dota 2

Patch 7.28 makes changes to all heroes. However, there is one change that fans have been waiting for and have come to reality, namely Sven.

This masked knight received several nerves, such as a reduction in the damage bonus from God Strength from 110/160/210 percent to 100/150/180 percent.

Then there are two nerfs from the Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade. The first is that the Storm Hammer which is equipped with Aghanim’s Scepter will not give a bonus one attack when it lands.

Previously, this Storm Hammer with Aghanim’s Scepter gave one bonus attack when it landed on a target.

The second is a reduced bonus cast range from Storm Hammer with Aghanim’s Scepter from +500 units to +350 units.

Then, there is also nerf in terms of talent. The “Storm Hammer Dispels” talent was finally removed and replaced by an additional 4 seconds of Warcry duration.

However, we still can’t breathe 100 percent of the way. The reason is, Sven can still get that damned buff if he buys Aghanim’s Shard. With a capital of 1,400 gold, Sven can still get a buff that terrorizes that support.

That’s it for the dota 2 patch! Stay tuned for more news and updates!
