While winning the Summoner’s Cup in 2020 , DWG KIA mid-laner Heo “ShowMaker” Su begins the new year at the top of the league of legend rankings after dominating the mid lane.
ShowMaker is one of the main players and is an outstanding player when under pressure. For 2021, the young middle laner is looking to continue to dominate the LCK with a strong team at his side.
With only one roster shift in the offseason, DWG KIA is the favorite to pick up another trophy in the LCK, and it’s going well so far. In the best of three series, ShowMaker began the season by beating none other than T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, and it’s hard to see anyone stopping him.
DWG KIA players right behind ShowMaker
Without ShowMaker’s fantastic teammates, it wouldn’t be a fair ranking. Teammates Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun and Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu are taking up close spots in the rankings.
Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon, former DWG KIA top laner, is also on the list, but will look to continue his dominance in the Chinese LPL this year after swapping to FunPlus Phoenix.
While the list is dominated by current or former DWG KIA players, one person has managed to crawl up and secure a second-place spot. It’s none other than Gen.G jungler Kim “Clid” Tae-min, who had a great 2020 season despite not getting any trophies.
Clid got off to a great start in the 2021 LCK Spring Split, where Gen.G looks solid. It seems that Clid and Gen.G are the biggest contenders to challenge DWG KIA.
Cloud9 Perkz is the only Western player in top 10
In the current top 10, which is Cloud9’s new mid-laner Luka ‘Perkz‘ Perković, He is only one player from the Western leagues.
Perkz scored a lot of points for the 2020 G2 Esports ranking, so it’s interesting to see if the Croatian superstar can stay on top after joining the LCS team.
The lol player ranking will continue to develop as the 2021 LEC spring split proceeds.
