After long contractual disputes between the two parties, Fortnite Cloakzy officially leaves FaZe Clan.

Former captain of the Fortnite FaZe Clan roster and more recent Call of Duty: Warzone Content Creator announced his official departure from the FaZe Clan after a four year stay with the organization.

The time of the streamer with the FaZe Clan has been splattered with controversy and drama since the beginning of 2019. Croakzy apologized in his official statement on the move.

The contract between Cloakzy and FaZe Clan hit the skids when the streamer tried to get out of the deal and FaZe refused to let him go. In 2019, he followed in the footsteps of Turner “Tfue” Tenney, who filed a lawsuit against the FaZe Clan for structuring a contract that unfairly favored the organization.

Tfue settled the dispute successfully in August 2020 and was therefore relieved of his contract. But things didn’t work out as well for Cloakzy when he took a similar approach.

Had earlier addressed the situationĀ

Fortnite Cloakzy had earlier addressed the situation on his streams, saying that he was stuck in a contract with FaZe and that the organization would not let him leave.

In recent months, he has openly expressed his wish to leave FaZe and start over a number of times. In 2019, both parties came close to the conclusion of the contract with each other, but the discussions collapsed and the vicious cycle continued.

In May 2020, Fortnite Cloakzy said that his contract would expire in one year, and it seems that it was finally concluded. The streamer was released from the organization a few months before May.

Cloakzy finished his long journey with FaZe and a public apology, claiming that there is probably no tension between the two now that the move has been settled.

Former Fortnite FaZe Clan “Cloakzy” is now a free agent

After his contract with Fortnite FaZe Clan expired, the former Fortnite pro finally entered the free agent market. For the first time in four years, Cloakzy will be released from contractual obligations with any organization that warrants exciting things ahead of him.

It is unlikely that he would sign with another organization as a content creator after spending a long time on Twitch under the Fortnite FaZe Clan banner.

With a wide range of Fortnite and Overwatch players entering Valorant Esports, it is possible that Cloakzy might consider going pro in Valorant or that he might return to Fortnite.
