Finally, the Spanish YouTuber and streamer TheGrefg gets his own Fortnite skin and cosmetics that match. This is how, in the game, you can claim them.
The most popular Spanish Fortnite player on the internet is David’TheGrefg ‘Martinez Canovas, so it was only a matter of time until he joined Ninja, Loserfruit, and Lachlan by getting his own cosmetics into the game.
During the Twitch stream on Monday, January 11, 2021, TheGrefg unveiled the skin, where he also broke an insane record in the process: 2,4 million people were tuned in to watch his unveiling, demonstrating why he deserved the honor of having his own skin.
The new skin is part of the Fortnite Icon Collection, which includes rapper Travis Scott, Marshmello’s DJ and producer, and Major Lazer’s electronic music trio mascot.
How to get the skin in Fortnite item shop
It won’t take long to wait for fans who want to get their hands on TheGrefg’s skin and matching cosmetics, as Epic Games have confirmed they will come when the item shop updates at 7 PM ET on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
There is no price yet, but TheGrefg mentioned during his Twitch stream that the price for the entire bundle should be around 2,000 and 3,000 V-Bucks.
It is probable that the skin and its cosmetics will also be available to purchase separately, such as the back bling and the pickaxe. When we get official confirmation, we’ll update the prices.
The skin will be only available for a limited time, so if you have been expecting it for a while, get it fast.
How to get the skin early
Epic Games will be hosting a tournament to celebrate the addition of TheGrefg to Fortnite, as with previous Icon Series skins. Even better, before it hits the item shop, there will be a chance to win the skin.
Floor Is Lava LTM will be the game mode for the tournament, which makes battles even more intense as hazardous lava slowly rises from the ground, eventually covering the whole map. It’s Grefg’s favorite one.
Epic Games have reported that on Thursday, January 14 (squads) and Friday, January 15, the tournaments will take place (solo). Each day, by placing high enough on the leaderboards, various TheGrefg cosmetics will be available to unlock.
TheGrefg will also come with a series of cosmetics as well as a skin. There’s a pickaxe on a stick that’s basically a giant video game controller, and a back bling that looks like three Dragon Balls floating with all-black with yellow details.
He will also have his own emote, the same one that appears on the pickaxe, which shows him dancing around a video game controller. A picture of his reactive ‘final form’ that you can see above has also been shared.
