Heroes of the Storm: Deathwing Build Guide

Deathwing

Deathwing is a melee Bruiser with various long-range abilities that make him a threat from long range. His giant dragon form makes him resistant to the control of the enemy crowd, however, it also prevents any form of healing or shielding from him.

He excels at dealing dangerous explosive damage to his enemies, however, most of his abilities have a rather slow cast animation, allowing most opponents to dodge them if they don’t. impaired mobility. Thus, he is a heavy assassin somewhat dependent on his teammates to pave the way for his powerful damage spells.

Talent Build of Deathwing

Molten Flame Build

Molten Flame Build increases the damage you can do from a distance to enemy Champions caught in Molten Flame for a few seconds.

The damage comes from a combination of several Talents that power up the same Base Abilities: Infernus at level 4, Wicked Inferno at level 13, and Conflagration at level 16.

Basic Attacks Build

His Basic Attacks Build makes it harder to kill and also increases damage, especially when you can fight at close range.

The combination of Dragon Soul at level 1 and Heat Wave at level 4 increases your damage and survivability throughout the early game and beyond.

In the middle of the game, Fire and Rage at Level 13 further increase the overall strength of Deathwing when fighting in the melee range.

While moving into the late-game stage, you get access to Elementium Plating at Level 16 to increase your survivability even more.

When playing this Build, you should use Destroyer Form when you can play aggressively or World Breaker Form when you have to play defensively or invade.

Dragonflight Build

His Dragonflight Build is a powerful choice for games where you can safely land on top of enemy Heroes with Terminator after your Tank has joined.

The combination of Dragon Soul at level 1 and Heat Wave at level 4 increases your damage and survivability during the first and afterward.

In the middle of the game, Fire and Rage at Level 13 further increase the overall strength of Deathwing when fighting in the melee range.

However, the key specialties of this Build are that the Death Drop at Level 7 increases the damage dealt to Allied Heroes and Gaze Onto Destruction at Level 16 reduces the damage inflicted by simultaneous enemy Heroes slow them down.

When playing this Build you should like the Terminator form best, especially when landing from Dragonflight.

Synergies and Counters of Deathwing

Deathwing

Deathwing synergizes with:

It’s hard to find a Hero that can naturally combine with him, as he cannot be buffed or enhanced in any way. There are, however, a few Heroes, usually crowd-controlled Heavy Tanks, that can help him easily take down his gruesome damage abilities. As a result, we see Heroes like E.T.C., Johanna, or Arthas as a fitting match, as their Stun and Slow battles can give him enough time to wipe the enemy team off the map.

Deathwing is countered by:

Because of his low health, size, and mobility, there are two types of Heroes that go against him very well. First, percent damage abilities, such as Tychus’s Minigun or Greymane’s Cursed Bullet skills deal a lot of damage to his high health. Second, the Agile Assassins like Zeratul, Valla or Tracer have an easy dodge time and thus greatly reduce his damage due to using long animations on most of his skills.
