COD: Zombies – How To Turn On Power & Pack-A-Punch

Pack-A-Punch

Pack-A-Punch

Power on is your first step in every Call of Duty: Zombies map. In Firebase Z, the first DLC Zombies map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, powered on and Pack-a-Punch is fully connected. Power on also recharges it, which makes sense – it’s a lot harder to power on this time.

The Call of Duty: Zombies map traditionally begins with two missions – power on and activate it. Power on typically activates various functions around the map and gives you access to locked doors. It is an upgraded machine that boosts your weapons. With zombies getting tougher every round, you’ll need the best firepower you can.

Reach The Teleporter & Activate The Aether Reactors

Go from the Courtyard to the Atrium and reach the deactivated Pack-a-Punch machine – on the right, there’s a window where you can “Talk to Ravenov”. He will tell you to use Teleport to get to Omega Base.

To reach the Teleporter, collect 1,250 points and unlock the door to the Equipment Storage – there are two doors on the opposite side of the Yard from Ravenov. In the door of the room, go up the stairs and you will see the gate working.

You will arrive at Omega Base and appear at the Heliport. There are three Aether reactors now you need to find and activate. It costs 500 points to activate each Aether Reactor.

When an Aether Reactor is activated, you need to protect it and charge those it collects by killing zombies. There are 3 hardpoints you need to protect in each room – so be prepared before activating any reactors. When the meter is fully charged, the reactor will ignite and wipe out any zombies nearby.

  • Reactor # 1: Mission Control – Accessed via Lots open from Helicopters. Spend 1,000 points, then 1,250 points to enter Mission Control.
  • Reactor # 2: Military Command – Access via Engine Swimming Pool from Heliport. It costs 1,000 points, then 1,250 points to enter the rank.
  • Reactor # 3: Data Center – Access via Barracks from Helicopters. It costs 1,000 points, then 1,250 points to enter the Data Center.

Complete all 3 Reactors to restore power to the facility – and Ravenov will call you.

Pack-a-Punch!

Use Helicopters to return to the Field. From here, you can use the Pack-a-Punch machine alongside Ravenov in Atrium. With 5,000 points you can upgrade whatever weapon you’re carrying – the PaP applies different special effects and upgrades depending on the weapon you enter.

You need to talk to Ravenov to activate it. Just get close to the machine and it will automatically activate.

Unlike previous games, it can upgrade your gun up to three times. The first upgrade will cost 5,000 – and the second upgrade will cost 15,000. And such. Upgrading your weapons and getting them is required if you are planning to survive in Zombies long term.
