Isolde Riot Games is pursuing its plan to add at least one League of Legends champion to each role in 2021. So far, the junglers welcomed a new addition to the rotation of the Ruined King himself, Viego. On January 8, to celebrate the start of Season 11.
Riot stated that the next three champions coming out would be linked to Viego and the Ruined King storyline. According to Ryan “Reav3” Mirelles, Riot Games is getting ready to introduce a familiar figure to the top lane.
“For some time, we wanted to add more magic damage fighters, especially one tailored specifically for the top lane. We believe that removing more space from our AP fighter roster will not only lead to more diversity in the top lane, but will also lead to more choices for other lanes as well. With that in the middle, we’re starting to sew a new champion for the return of the Ruined King,” Mirelles said.
Who is Isolde in League of Legends?
Mirelles is referring to Isolde, the wife of Viego. A seamstress, died after being cut off by a poisoned dagger for Viego, who was desperately trying to find an antidote. She was going to end up dying, but Viego never came to terms with her death. In order to reunite with his wife, Viego tried it all.
With the help of the healing waters of the Blessed Isles, Viego brought her back to life. Isolde, who didn’t want to come back, attacked Viego. After the betrayal of Isolde, Viego became the Ruined King that everyone feared. Isolde, who could not return to her grave, is wandering around the world, but her loyalty is now unclear.
When is Isolde joining League of Legends?
The exact schedule for the release of League of Legends Isolde is unclear. Usually, Riot Games reserve the largest releases for summer events. It was all about the Spirit Blossom Festival and Yone in 2020. Isolde could have received the same treatment this year.
How long does the League season last?
The Legends of League season lasts for 10 months, starting in mid January and ending in November. During the offseason, players can still play ranked games, but any rank achieved in the offseason will not count toward ranked rewards, and ranks will be reset with the new season.
