Valorant: G2 “ardiis” can destroy Killjoy’s ultimate with Sova

G2 esports Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks showed in a recent match against Team Liquid that he spent a lot of time mastering Sova arrows, and gave aspiring Valorant players a great example to follow.

G2 teamwork behind the Homeground Grand Final win

The Red Bull Homeground Grand Final saw Team Liquid compete against one of the most prestigious teams in Valorant, G2 Esports. The Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas led squad swept the title of the Homeground champions and the teamwork behind the win was evident throughout the series.

The match was no one sided stretch, as both teams were in a tight knit fight to win the third map, Haven. In the second to last round of the map, the ball was kind of in Team Liquid’s court when Ardiis pulled out his strategy book to outthink the opponent.

G2 Esports had successfully acquired control of the site, but protecting the Spike was a difficult task against five opponents. His teammates played a crucial role in winning the round, but the use of Sova shock bolt against Killjoy ended up being the highlight of the match.

Killjoy’s lockdown can be dangerous if it’s used properly. The detainer has acquired a vast area, making enemies vulnerable within its range. It’s the ideal tool to evacuate a defense site. A Killjoy final lineup has recently surfaced, in which the german agent could restrain everybody at bomb point A.

Team Liquid’s James “Kryptix” Affleck was looking for the ultimate lineup but G2ardiis” knew better. Using the Bolt, Ardiis destroyed the strategic lockdown in a split second, regaining control of the site.

How to use Sova Shock Bolt lineup in Valorant

For using this lineup in Valorant, align yourself with the corner of the rock. Aim at the windows and place your crosshair in the middle of the two windows, as shown in the picture.

Set the arrow to double bounce and shoot it halfway after loading the bar. The Bolt is going to land on top of Killjoy’s ability, instantly destroying it.

This Sova lineup could come in useful in competitive matches and scrims, as this ultimate Killjoy lineup has become a common strategy among players. If five players flood the A site, the lockdown can easily detain the majority of players, which is why a bypass is crucial.

Sova kit shines on Haven anyway because of his intel gathering abilities, but his ability to skirt Killjoy’s ultimate makes him the perfect choice for this map.

Sova Shock Bolt can be a threat to agents as one hit is deadly enough to eliminate a wounded enemy. However, killing an armoured enemy requires two arrows, as one Shock Bolt deals a maximum of 90 hp damage.
