LCS Lock In: Santorin will miss the first week

Another team was affected by visa issues ahead of the first LCS Lock In Tournament. This time, Team Liquid and Jungler Lucas “Santorin” are going to be delayed.

Armao and the rest of Liquid will face off against CLG

It’s going to be a rough start for Liquid at the upcoming LCS Lock In tournament, as its new star jungler, Santorini, won’t make it for the first week. Santorin is currently in Denmark waiting for his visa to arrive. According to Santorin, his visa was approved, but he’s not going to be able to make it in time for the LCS Lock, which starts on January 15.

Jonathan ‘Armao’ Armao, who has a lot of experience with teams including Team SoloMid and Dignitas, will replace the Danish jungler. Armao, formerly known as Grig, has been playing on the Academy scene since last year, but from his days as the starting jungler on TSM, he will look to find his old form.

In the first game of 2021, Armao and the rest of Liquid will face off against CLG. CLG has also been impacted by visa problems and players for the LCK Lock In will also be missing. Without starting, CLG will play Jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen and Top Laner Finn “Finn” WiestÃ¥l. Ryan “Keel” Keel in the jungle and the experienced Colin “Solo” Earnest are up top to replace the two Europeans.

For the second week of the Lock In tournament, Santorin is expected to join Liquid. The arrival date of Broxah and Finn with the CLG is still unknown.

Who is Santorin

Santorini is 23 years old and has been in the League of Legends competition since 2013. One of the first young European players to travel to North America to compete was Santorin. He started on Cloud9 Eclipse and played his way up through the ranks slowly. Nearly six years later, he joined Team Liquid, one of the largest organizations in the region.

Santorin has been a jungler throughout his entire career. His job is to keep track of the enemy jungler while he tries to help out his lanes by ganking, and keep up vision throughout the game. Santorin is renowned for playing aggressive champions like Lee Sin and is at this stage one of the most experienced players in his field.
