LoL Xin Zhao is looking to get an overhaul in the near future with updates to all of his abilities, opening up to more range and power scaling abilities.
LoL Xin Zhao is getting a little update
As LoL gameplay design director Mark “Scuffy” Yetter has revealed, Xin Zhao is getting a little update after he’s been struggling with Summoner’s Rift power lately. The Seneschal of Demacia is looking to make adjustments to all five abilities, with the aim of adding unique ranged gameplay and adding new off-build opportunities through buffering its power scaling ability.
While there is no release date for the changes yet, Riot is showing the changes early to get some feedback. As of now, the plan is to add scaling power ability to Xin Zhao Determination (P), Wind Becomes Lightning (W), and Crescent Guard (R). New scaling could open up for new builds, which could include power items like Nashor’s Tooth and Lich Bane.
The drawback to Xin Zhao is that his total damage to the attack damage builds might take a hit. The bonus physical damage to his Three Talon Strike (Q) will be nerfed, but the new range and opportunities to build up will hopefully make up for it. For now, Riot seems to have been a little away from adding these changes to the Public Beta Environment (PBE), so there might be a couple of changes to LoL Xin Zhao update before it sees the light of day.
Is Xin Zhao good?
As of patch 11.4, Xin Zhao is seated at a poor 48.31% win rate in Platinum rank and above. It is therefore clear that the Demacian warrior needs some changes to fit into the meta.
Is the champ a jungler?
Since his launch back in 2010, LoL Xin Zhao Jungle pick has mostly been seen as a Xin Zhao has been struggling to find a place in the meta for a long time, but when he’s picked up, he’s as strong as a jungler. Xin Zhao also has been seen in other lanes, but it is a rare sight and only in quite specific matchups.
