The roster for the next season has now been announced by all Overwatch League teams. London Spitfire had just recruited three players, but not enough to complete the team. This was not the case for London Spitfire if Vancouver Titans had recently announced the last player of its Overwatch roster.
To date, the English organization has only announced five of its players and its coaching staff. The latter, in the position of Coach, will consist of Justin ‘Reprize’ Hand.
He will also be supported by the London Spitfire academic team, Mads’fischer ‘Jehg and Xavier’Commander X’ Hardy, both Coach and Assistant Coach for the British Hurricane.
British Hurricane – London Spitfire
Only Jeffrey’”blasé” ‘Tsang, the first rookie, wasn’t part of last season’s London Spitfire academic roster. On December 26, he joined the team.
If Blasé is only 21, with Boston Uprising and then Houston Outlaws, he has already played two Overwatch League seasons. He was also trained in 2018 by the Gladiators Legion.
The second announced player isn’t a big surprise. As of December 2019, Riku ‘ripa’ Toivanen was part of the British Hurricane. It was only natural for the Finnish support player to join the original squad, after an impressive individual performance this season.
For the player, who also played for the Los Angeles Gladiators in 2019, this is not the first OWL experience. Kristian ‘Kellex’ Keller is the third player who will have a support role.
While his Toronto Defiant experience quickly ended, this season is the Danish player’s real second chance. He was also part of last season’s British Hurricane, and with this line-up in place, automatism shouldn’t be very hard to find.
With the two phenomena straight from the academic team: Hadi Daniel ‘Hadi’ Bleinagel and Mikkel ‘Molf1g’ Djernes, the same thing for the tank line that will be kept intact.
After a perfect season, the British Hurricane was highly rewarded, finishing with the team winning 4-0 in the Overwatch Contenders’ Gauntlet Europe.
