Whether you’re new to stealth or a veteran of Metal Gear Solid 5, there’s no denying that knowing how to survive and making the most of your options is what makes Metal Gear Solid so special.
Good vantage point – Metal Gear Solid 5
Before you consider entering the camp to exploit someone or search for information, you need to find a vantage point to get the land. This is useful for two reasons: first, it will help you form an exit strategy – an essential part of most mining missions.
The other is that it will provide a good place for you to use your binoculars, which you will need to mark enemies and points of interest.
Thankfully, both Afghanistan and Africa have plenty of mountains and small hills overlooking your goal, so finding a vantage point won’t be a challenge.
Scan and mark everything
Once you’ve set up a perch, bring up your binoculars and scan the environment in Metal Gear Solid 5. You can click on the right sidebar to zoom in or out. Alternatively, you can click up or down on the d-pad to zoom the change.
Make sure you tag everything, as shadows persist through walls, meaning you’ll always know when someone is about to follow you.
The first upgrade to the binoculars allows you to analyze your enemies so you can check if you need to kill them or kill them. The Int-Scope also has a microphone that can be used to gather information just by listening to the soldiers talking.
One of the first quests you’ll get in Metal Gear Solid 5 requires you to track down an interpreter. This happens in Afghanistan and Africa, and with the number of different languages spoken in each region, you’ll need to get a handle on a few of them.
This should be your first business command, as it will allow you to understand what the enemy is saying and more often won’t lead you to important items on the map.
The most important reason, however, is that when you strangle someone, you can interrogate them and gain invaluable information from prisoner locations and resources, to weapon prototypes and items sub-digest.
Fulton valuable stuff – Metal Gear Solid 5
The Fulton is a great device that sends most flying items back to Mother Base. This also applies to soldiers. Once you’ve unlocked the first upgrade to your Int-Scope, you’ll be able to determine if the person you’re looking at could be useful at the base. However, this binocular upgrade needs to be pushed further, to increase the range of skill sets you can see.
As for the fulton device itself, the ultimate upgrade allows you to send heavy items like AA platforms and material containers back to the facility. So make sure you prioritize it over other things.
Soldiers, animals, gun emplacements, everything works in Mother Base.
If you’re getting out of the hot zone, you’ll want to get in a helicopter and fly before the enemy surrounds you and kills you while you’re boarding or even for a few seconds to gain altitude, which can happen .
This is why it is better to call early and have it ready for you as soon as you arrive at the Landing Ground.
