Timbersaw - The logger
The logger

True to his nickname, hero is a true “logger” when 3/4 of his skills have caused the surrounding trees to collapse. With its toughness and the ability to escape quite well, hero is always a useful choice for the Off-Lane position.

Before getting to know the details of how to play Timbersaw, we must understand and understand the parameters of Leshras to be able to use this hero more effectively.

If you know how to use Timbersaw properly, it will easily overcome the disadvantages of Timbersaw
If you know how to use Timbersaw properly, it will easily overcome the disadvantages
  • Strength: 22 (2.1 / level)
  • Agility: 16 (1.3 / level)
  • Intelligence: 21 (2.4 / level)
  • Base HP (Level 1/25): 568/1898
  • Mana: 273/1274
  • Damage: 51-55 / 121-125
  • Range: Close-range
  • Armor: 0.24 / 7.41
  • Movement speed: 290

We can see that Timbersaw has a mid-range stat with Strength and Intelligence both increased by more than 2 points on a level. The Agility stat increases are low, but it does not matter much because Timbersaw mainly deals with skill damage. The amount of hand damage is quite stable and not much difference is also an advantage that helps Timbersaw players easily last-hit creeps when in the lane.

Knowing information about the champion’s skills is also one of the good playable tips for newbies who are learning how to play Timbersaw

All abilities in DOTA 2

To begin with, Whirling Death is a Timbersaw that rotates a saw around itself, slicing trees and damaging nearby enemies. If this ability hits a tree, the Whirling Death will deal true damage (pure damage). In addition, champions who plan to hit the Whirling Death will have 15% of their base stats deducted for 7 seconds.

This skill will help Timbersaw deal great damage to opponents standing near the forest. Very suitable to combo with the skill close to Timber Chain below. In addition, the effect of subtracting 15% of the basic stat of the Whirling Death makes this ability especially “permeable” to Strength champions.

  • Influence: 300
  • Damage: 100/150/200/250
  • Cooldown: 8s
  • Mana cost: 70/80/90/100

Second, Timber Chain is the skill that Timbersaw throws forward, if the chain hits a tree, the Timbersaw’ll fly towards that tree and cause damage to all enemies on the way.

This is Timbersaw’s main escape and approach skill. Not only that, the amount of damage right at level 1 is 100 making hero can deal up to 200 damage (the amount of damage is quite large for a level 2 general). The recovery time is only 4s and the mana cost is not very high, making Timbersaw almost invincible in the late game.

  • Range of use: 800/1000/1200/1400
  • Damage: 100/140/180/220
  • Range of damage while flying: 225
  • Cooldown: 4s
  • Mana cost: 60/70/80/90

Next, Reactive Armor is used when Tmbersaw wraps itself with a layer of armor. This armor also grants Timbersaw healing and will increase both armor and health regen per second whenever Timbersaw receives damage from basic attacks.

This is a very powerful skill of Timbersaw, allowing this guy to have great armor and fast healing speed even though he has never had an item to increase armor. This ability will help Timbersaw stay in the lane better, as well as participate in team fights and roulette with the enemy champion.

  • Range of use: 800/1000/1200/1400
  • Damage: 100/140/180/220
  • Range of damage while flying: 225
  • Cooldown: 4s
  • Mana cost: 60/70/80/90

Finally, Chakram is an object that when Timbersaw launches a saw blade to the target location, damaging and slowing enemies. The blade will stay at the target position and continue to damage, slowing down the opponent until the Timbersaw runs out of mana or summons it. The slow rate will be increased by 5% of the enemy’s blood loss. When using Chakram, Timbersaw cannot attack normally. If Aghnim’s Scepter is available, Timbersaw will be able to throw another saw just like Chakram.

  • Range of use: 1200
  • Influence: 200
  • Damage on flight: 100/140/180
  • Damage per second at the designated location: 50/75/100
  • Movement Speed is deducted: 5% for every 5% of blood missing
  • Mana cost per second: 20/25/30
  • Cooldown: 8s
  • Mana cost: 100/150/200

Timbersaw’s basic build direction is still to maximize the Timber Chain skill first to increase maneuverability for Timbersaw. Then increase in Whirling Death to deal more damage in teamfights. Reactive Armor should increase one point at the beginning to keep the lane better.
