Nothing is free in Necromunda: Hired Gun. Whether it’s an upgrade to your arsenal, better bio gear, parts for your dog, or supplies to keep you on top and chasing bonuses, you’ll need the credits. This is especially important as you get to the later stages and higher tier bonuses as the game will throw bigger, stronger, and more aggressive enemies at you, and having the right gear to counter them can make a difference. There are lots of different ways you can keep your hunter’s wallet full of cash, and if you’re smart about your spending you can end up with a sizable chunk of money midway through.
Explore The Levels – Necromunda: Hired Gun
Exploration in Necromunda: Hired Gun is highly encouraged. The levels are all appropriately large, and like the rest of the 40k universe, there’s a lot that doesn’t make sense. But there are often some hidden rewards available to those who enjoy roaming the well-beaten path.
Quite often there will be a stack of credits or a loot chest placed under an abandoned tunnel or on a ledge that you can grapple with. So make sure to scan your surroundings for any hidden paths. Also, don’t worry if you think you’ve missed anything like the levels in the main story are replayable. You can always go back to a stronger Bounty Hunter to pick up what you left behind the first time around.
Equip Trinkets – Necromunda: Hired Gun
Quite a few customization options available for your bounty hunter. One of the biggest benefits is the massive amount of personalization you can put into your guns, especially the jewelry pieces.
These little quirks apply status effects to your character, and the ones you definitely want to watch out for are the credit boosts. They will initially offer a small percentage of increased drop rate, but as you progress you can turn each level into a pretty good earner if you’re equipped with the right accessories. So always tweak your gun after each mission to make sure you’re maximizing your credit drop.
Check Around The Hub Bar
The central bar where you spend most of your time wandering in the game is not only a place to upgrade your gear and the Hunter, it’s also a useful source of credits between quests.
Usually, after a quest, there will be some credits left on or around the bar, possibly left by a previous patron to cover their tab. So feel free to take these unprotected pieces of cash whenever you return to the mall. Just don’t expect a big payday from this as the amounts are always relatively small. However, everything helps.
Power Through The Main Quest
While it sounds simple, the best way to get tons of credits is to just play through the story. Your main goal in Necromunda: Hired Gun is to take down Silver Talon. This target is part of the game’s exciting and action-packed story, and knocking him down will reward you with 250,000 big credits.
The main quests are relatively short and you can get through the story relatively quickly for that huge payday at the end if you feel like it. Plus, each mission you beat also rewards you with credits, the number of credits increasing as you progress.
