Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator has just arrived on Steam Early Access. It’s a game where you set up your own alchemy shop, use charts/maps to experiment and craft various potions, then sell those potions to help Many customers solve their problems.
Serving Customers – Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator
Depending on the situation, you may choose not to serve customers. This is likely because you suspect one of them is a killer and they won’t use poison for mere pest control. Declining their service can enhance your reputation with other customers because of your good deed, or you can go the other way and serve customers only with ulterior motives, thus bringing a negative reputation.
This adds a light role-playing element to the game, and the developers may also add more depth to the concept in the future.
Sell Stronger Potions
There are three strengths for potions in Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator: weak, standard, and strong. A potion becomes stronger when you correctly align the potion icon within the outline of the effect on the map. It’s important to know that since stronger potions sell for much more than weaker potions, that’s a real early game benefit.
However, to create a strong potion, you must be exactly within the boundary. Even a slight deviation will revert it to standard strength, so use your diffuser well and be gentle when stirring.
Buy Cheap and Sell High
This may seem obvious, but you still need to be aware. When merchants come and offer their wares, some of them will have certain items on sale (indicated by a green arrow pointing downwards). Given how expensive some of the rarer ingredients can be, it’s a good idea to purchase them at a discounted price whenever possible.
Plus, take advantage of the bargaining mechanism of Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator to try and minimize your own spending while selling for a higher price. It can be a bit confusing at first, but it will prove very useful once you get the hang of it.
Multiple Effects – Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator
As with the alchemy systems of other games, such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, potions can have various combined effects. Strong drugs will occupy three places, while weak drugs will occupy only one place. It’s important to remember that since your character’s ultimate goal is to create the Sorcerer’s Stone, this process requires potions with multiple effects (and a working alchemy machine).
This step doesn’t arise until a few hours into the game, but you should know from the start as some customers will end up asking for more complex potions.
More Features To Come
At the time of writing, Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator is an Early Access title but has a lot of potentials. As such, there are a lot of features coming in the future. These include the ability to save legendary recipes, mass upgrades for your garden and alchemist in your shop, and customers who will request potions without certain ingredients.
The game team consists of just five people, and while new content can take a while to update, there’s still a lot to play with in the meantime.
