A lot of people controlling attackers in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege love to use explosives to get things done, but GSG 9 Blitz executives like to blind their opponents. He’s another defense operator, similar to Montagne, meaning he has a very limited arsenal to play with. A recent nerf slightly altered his shield abilities, so we’ve updated our guides accordingly.
The first thing to know about Blitz is that his shield has more holes than Montagne’s expandable. He could be one of the more difficult to use because of a lack of guns at his disposal.
Blitz operator guide
This guide will cover all of his stats, weapons, gadgets, and flash shields.
- Armor: 2
- Speed: 2
- The Shield
- P12 Pistol
- Smoke or Breach charge
- His shield is equipped with a dazzling light that he uses to flash his potion.
- It has 2.5 seconds of cooldown between 2 charges and it has 5 in total.
- Besides flashbangs, you will also get a flash when you face away from him.
- The flash has a range of 7m.
- It offers a relatively high level of protection for the body.
It has 44HP of damage per shot, quite high RPM.
There are 15 bullets in a magazine.
3 accessories: Silencer, Muzzle Brake, and Laser. You should choose the Muzzle Brake as the main accessory since you don’t need a silencer, you’re noisy anyway thanks to your shield and it greatly increases the accuracy.
Blitz has the right to use the G52-Tactical shield as his sole primary weapon. This shield has the ability to emit light, temporarily dazzling enemies looking in your direction. His armament is the P12 semi-automatic pistol that has low recoil and is quite fine at mid-range when aiming down the line of sight, but in the case of hipshot, it has a large spread. It also requires manual reloading.
Gadgets of Blitz
You can shoot a smoke grenade with Blitz to really disorient the enemy, but it’s probably better you let an attack explode, then shoot your shield at the enemy to do blind them. This one-of-a-kind punch allows your team to make the most of the distraction you’ve created.
Skill of Blitz
His shield emits a beam of light to blind enemies, but it has a limited range, a total of only four times its charge and no replaceable gauge. He can run with his shield raised, but it is best if he walks while bent over. As with Montagne, the shield can be used to protect allies while ambushing them with an attack.
The cooldown between flashes on his shield has been increased from two seconds to seven seconds, giving defensive players a little bit of air against Blitz.
Should I pick Blitz?
Like Montagne, choosing Blitz means you need to be in constant contact with your team, while the flash emitter needs to be used sparingly. This means players need to know when to activate the flash emitter for maximum efficiency, which makes this operator one of the more difficult to use. The latest update only makes this harder, so be cautious when using him.
