Fans of burning souls, big swords, and announcers with a deep voice welcoming you back to sage history, rejoice: SoulCalibur is back and Soulcalibur 6 is one of the games. the best the series has ever seen in a long time.
But where do you start? Which of the 20 playable characters would you like to use? Which mode should you play first? Do they have any new mechanics you should know about? What characters should you try to learn? This is something the game doesn’t always tell you. But don’t worry; Whether you are a SouCalibur legend, a time-consuming fan back to continue your story, or replace you on the historic stage, we help you.
Start By Picking A Character – Soulcalibur 6
Soulcalibur 6 is fighting game 101, but the first thing you should do is choose the character you want to play. If you’re a veteran, that could mean going back to an old friend. For others, it might be to try a character you always thought was interesting or choose one of the new additions to the cast.
Maybe you are here because you’re a fan of The Witcher and you want to pair up with Geralt. You can choose based on their looks, plot (which you can visit in the Museum), their fighting style or any one (or more) reason. Whatever it is, choose your character before you do anything, and we mean anything else.
Head to Training Mode – Soulcalibur 6
Got a character you think you might like in Soulcalibur 6? Good. Towards training mode. It’s more fun to go straight into things and start chasing people with whatever weapon your character has, but you have to know what you’re doing first. That means getting familiar with your character’s move set, what their Critical Edge does, how Soul Charge works, basic input buttons for your core attacks and combos, and more.
You don’t have to spend a lot of time in training mode – maybe just a few minutes – but before you leave, you should know how to do a few attacks, throw your opponent, activate Soul Charge (and when to use it and how and when to use Critical Edge. If you find that you don’t like the character you originally chose, choose another character and come back here.
Play Libra of Soul First
After you’ve got a character you like and a general idea of what they can do, you should head over to Libra of Soul, the first story mode of SoulCalibur VI’s new story modes. There are some reasons for this.
First, Libra of Soul has a game guide. Do it ASAP, as it will teach you almost everything you need to know about how to play Soulcalibur 6. It will also allow you to play with the character creator and choose the style you want your created character to have. For bonus points, use the style that corresponds to the character you have decided you like in training mode.
You see, there is a method for this madness. You are cooking on gas. Libra is a great way to explore the world of SoulCalibur, get a feel for your character, learn to fight, and make some money as you join.
