Gill is a video game character in the Street Fighter series, making his first appearance as the main antagonist of Street Fighter III: New Generation. He is the leader of the Secret Society, a mysterious organization made up of the elites of mankind, who have controlled world events from the shadows since the dawn of history, and sought to make an apocalyptic plan to secure one’s own utopian salvation. He returns as a playable character in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.
Fighting style and abilities of Gill
His fighting style seems to be based on the Pankration discipline of the ancient Greek Olympics, and on the control of fire and ice, as well as on the elemental clothing straps, head, and knee caps, all of which are used.
Used by his brother, Urine. He also has a number of other powers at his disposal, also mentioned above. According to the supplementary documents, Gill also searches, researches, and practices other martial arts around the world in the hope of achieving the “ultimate fighting style”.
By surviving Shun Goku Satsu, he showed that he was not only physically immortal to his strength but also mentally.
In Capcom Fighting Evolution, he suffered a similar punishment against M. Bison but once again, got up from it as if nothing had happened. His immortality may have a limit, however, according to the UDON comics; It should be noted that, after losing his body and subsequently taking control of Alex’s body, his soul was attacked by Ryu’s own Shun Goku Satsu and vanished into nothingness.
Moveset of Gill
His elemental control so that fire and ice are fully balanced; this is reflected in both his looks and a rather unique gameplay trait that changes the element of certain attacks (e.g., Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis) based on the direction he is facing.
This is simply to demonstrate the strength of the CPS-3 board and does not affect damage and stun. Gill was both the first known character to use ice elemental attacks (the second being his secretary Kolin, whose powers have in fact been bestowed upon her by him. ) and is also the first known character to have attacks that depend on the direction he faces.
His general style focuses on attacking at all costs while resisting air attacks. Unlike Urien, he had the advantage of not stopping to attack, and could easily overwhelm a careless opponent. As the final boss, he is much stronger than any other character in Street Fighter III (save Shin Akuma).
He deals massive damage, stuns extremely large, and can chain together for a long time. He can also deal block damage with regular attacks, which makes the application of defensive strategies against him very difficult. This also made it almost impossible to achieve a perfect victory over Gill. For this reason, he is often unusable while playing regular games.
However, he has almost no ability to expand the combination in contrast to his brother, but it doesn’t hinder him too much, as two of his Super Techniques can be used as one. counterattack almost all of the time.
Gill is the leader of a mysterious cult-like organization called the Secret Society, which has been manipulating events around the world for over 2000 years, and dedicated to the salvation of mankind, and created a new utopia.
The additional documents note that, unlike other candidates for the leadership position of the Secret Society, who were kidnapped and brainwashed to carry out their bid, he and his brother Urien were born to parents who are longtime members of the sect.
Both their parents are believed to have been candidates for the sect’s presidency; who have a Ph.D. degree (s) in their respective fields. It is noted that their mother, an Olympic level athlete, and a Ph.D. in Sports Dynamism are particularly fond of becoming President.
