M. Bison (or Vega in Asia – thanks to localized SF2) is a slow-moving character and is at its best when he pressures opponents slowly and carefully, hitting them with power. big when they’re messy. He’s practically just a curator, so being comfortable with his positively charged moves is key.
How to Play as M. Bison
When playing as M. Bison, it’s worth noting that his walking speed isn’t as good as Chun-Li, which is why the strategies surrounding the footsies are completely unfounded.
However, to make up for this weakness, Bison has an invincible forward dash and a very far jump that covers a lot of distance. But again, due to the animation and the different air defense (s), good players will always punish these attacks.
One of the reasons why Double Knee Press is so good is because it carries forward movement. Those of you who are used to jumping a lot with Bison should try combining them with the swirling Devil Reverse to avoid those counterattacks.
Alternatively, you can also mix EX Psycho Blast before jumping in and charging. Against opponents who are not good at blocking the low, your HK slide is a valuable asset; especially those who rely on footsies like Chun-Li.
Last but not least; That goes with saying that Bison’s Psycho Inferno’s combo doesn’t require a fee and his HK Double Knee Press, though a bit slower, is more secure to block than the LK and MK versions.
Skills of M. Bison
V-Skill: Psycho Reflect
Psycho Reflect takes a bullet out of the air and absorbs it to fill the V-Trigger gauge of M. Bison, but if you hold the button down instead, you can store the projectile – and when you release the button, shoot it back at speed.
V-Trigger: Psycho Power
Bison’s Psycho Power leaves the dictator with abilities enhanced with his special moves. Most of his special moves start with a small move in V-Trigger – ideal for dodging projectiles – and most moves also deal more damage. It’s also easier to cancel regular moves to be special.
Special Moves of M. Bison
(Charge: Back – Forward + Punch)
Close-range bullet attacks can strike enemies with psychic powers, and can also be used to counter enemy projectiles by encountering and absorbing them.
Double Knee Press
(Charge: Back – Forward + Kick)
A type of psycho push wheel that can hit an enemy twice. There’s a really quick EX version, while the button is used to determine the distance traveled.
(Charge: Down – Up + Kick)
Bison jumped into the air and aimed for the head of his opponent. There’s an EX version available, and this move can be adjusted to be two more moves depending on when you follow by pressing the hole punch:

(Quarter Circle Forwards x2 + Punch)
Though it’s absent from his special moves, the iconic Psychological Crush of M. Bison is here again as his Art of Criticism. It hits close at first, so stay close to your opponent, but will then push them across the screen to the corner and deal an impressive amount of damage.
