The year 2020 is quite an exciting year with the outbreak of the coronavirus health pandemic around the world. We expect 2021 to turn things around and at least it should be a good year for video game releases. With some games pushed back from the health pandemic, the year 2021 is likely to be flooded with some great third-person video games. Here are some of the games we’ve predicted so far when it comes to third-person titles. You’ll want to check back often as we’ll keep updating this post as new games are revealed.

God of War Ragnarok

  • Developer: Santa Monica Studios
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Platforms: PS5
  • Release: 2021
  • Co-op: N/A
  • Competitive Multiplayer: N/A

God of War was such a huge success at launch for the PlayStation 2 that it has seen releases expanding to the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 platforms. he seeks revenge against the gods of Greek mythology.

However, after the final installment for Greek mythology has been bundled up for the PlayStation 3, most are unsure where Kratos will end up next, or even have a different one. Luckily we got God of War, a soft reboot for PlayStation 4. This game takes players into Norse mythology with Kratos looking after his son Atreus.

As before, God of War on PlayStation 4 was a huge hit, and we know that there will be more stories to tell since this franchise when the game is over. Again, it looks like the developers agree, and we are getting a sequel to the PlayStation 5.

Unfortunately, there is currently no word on this upcoming third-person video game installment. We know this will focus on Ragnarok, but other than that, we don’t have any trailers or trailers that provide insight into the game story. For now, all we know is another third-person hack and slash game being released in 2021.

Elden Ring – third-person video games

  • Developer: FromSoftware
  • Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: TBA
  • Co-op: N/A
  • Competitive Multiplayer: N/A

The Souls brand has a huge following and fans just can’t get enough of the action immersive content that FromSoftware developers bring to market. While this is not tied to the Souls franchise, We have Elden Ring coming soon which has attracted some attention from fans.

We don’t have a lot of information about this game as there’s only one trailer released, and that doesn’t really provide much of what we can expect for the plot or legend. However, this is a dark fantasy action RPG that will likely have the same overall gameplay tone as FromSoftware’s previous works. However, the development team did note that they wanted to include some other notable mechanics in this upcoming installment, such as mounts.

Another interesting aspect of the Elden Ring is that FromSoftware is partnering with George R. Martin. This is the novelist who has done some fantasy plotlines with his greatest success being A Song of Ice and Fire, which was adapted into Game of Thrones.

George R. Martin has a role in laying out more legends and foundations for the Elden Ring, but again, we’re not necessarily sure what we’re actually doing at the moment. Despite the lack of information, coming from FromSoftware, this will be a fairly expected release, and it’s a title we’ll be watching closely.
