In the latest update to Marvel’s Avengers, everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has finally made its way into the game for PlayStation users. The latest update encourages web players to fight against A.I.M. with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. It is explained that Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man has been helping to protect the people of New York City since A-Day (Black Widow and Ms. Marvel are big fans). Captain America and Tony Stark don’t recognize him because Steve Rogers has been held captive by the A.I.M. and Stark is “living in a place out of nowhere.”
Web Swing – Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man
One of the biggest questions surrounding Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers is where he’ll come from. The environment in the game is barren, to say the least, and Spidey needs tall buildings, structures, pointed objects, literally anything to mount his web.
Players might joke about Spider-Man simply swinging from the sky, but Crystal Dynamics really chose that path. Spider-Man’s swing is completely unrestricted, which means he’s only soaring out of the clouds above him. His swings, while hilariously unrealistic, make him the best mobile character in the game. In addition to swinging wherever he wants, Spider-Man can also cling to walls and crawl on them.
Spidey’s Unique Web Attacks
Since there’s already an official Spider-Man game on PlayStation, it’s fairly easy to compare the Insomniac and Crystal Dynamics versions of the character. Try your best not to do that and you’ll enjoy the character a lot more. One area where both versions excel is their web-based attacks, and this Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man has quite a few attacks at his disposal.
Spider-Man can use his Web-Shooters to fire Web projectiles that can temporarily immobilize enemies, although his ranged damage isn’t as strong as other characters. His special abilities, Web-Bomb and Wrecking Ball, are perfect moves against large groups of enemies. One plus from using Wrecking Ball is that it provides impact-resistant armor to reduce all damage taken while increasing Spidey’s overall damage.
Use The Spider-Drone – Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man
Peter Parker’s genius is sometimes overlooked by his acrobatic abilities and sarcastic remarks, but we assure you, he’s one of the smartest people in the Marvel universe. Using his massive brain, Spider-Man developed a handy device called the Spider-Drone. When deployed, the drone will shoot Web projectiles at the surrounding enemies.
Spider-Man can designate a defensive area for the drones to monitor, essentially creating a web defense tower in difficult situations. Once you reach level 15 and unlock the Spider-Man Plane Expertise, be sure to select Medical Attention. This skill allows Spider-Drone to emit a healing pulse every five seconds, restoring 50% of the health of allies in the area.
Play With Long-Range Heroes
Just like any character, having a competent team composition will help maximize the skills and abilities, the same is true of Spider-Man. Finding out who he works well with opens up new attack patterns and opportunities for webheads. Since Spider-Man’s ranged attacks aren’t too strong, having heroes that excel with ranged damage is something to look for.
Depending on the strength of the other characters, you should combine Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man with a combination of Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man, and one of the Hawkeyes. Natasha Romanoff’s Veil of Shadows is one of the best abilities in the game, giving her and her allies invisibility. Having Spider-Man spin around and attack from above while stealth is a deadly combination.
Because Spider-Man can immobilize enemies with his web (mostly against walls), having long-range attacks by Thor, Iron Man, Kate Bishop, or Clint Barton will help destroy them. a lot easier.
