There are a lot of great fighting games coming to the market every year. In Nintendo Switch fighting games this list, we will highlight the Nintendo Switch console platform. There are a ton of fighting games available but we’ll highlight a few that we think you should try in 2021.
Mayhem Brawler – Nintendo Switch fighting games
Coming out of Streets of Rage 4, another game with a very similar gameplay style to the upcoming title called Mayhem Brawler. Developed to deliver the same beat ’em up gameplay experience from the 1990s, Mayhem Brawler will also put players in the role of officers forced to clean up the city. You will face all kinds of hostile enemies along with supernatural creatures. Currently, this game is expected to hit the market this August, so stay tuned.
Fisti-Fluffs – Nintendo Switch fighting games
There are usually a few physics-based fighting games that come out and dominate the market each year. In 2021 we have Fisti-fluffs. This is a game where players will play the role of cats that have to fight it. You will pass victory or at least wobble and try to outdo the competition. It’s a bit odd and in your battles, you’ll destroy the level rooms you’re fighting inside. Here’s another title you might want to keep on your radar when it comes out sometime this year.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina
The Melty Blood franchise has been around for years and we’re ready for a new installment with Melty Blood: Type Lumina. If you’re not familiar with this franchise then you might still be in luck as this is an ongoing reboot. While the original plan was to remake Melty Blood, this will be a prequel to the visual novel Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon. We haven’t seen too much of the game yet but the small trailer released makes us interested in how the game will continue when it hits the Nintendo Switch fighting games market sometime this year.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia
Phantom Breaker is a fighting game that was released in 2011 and has been a Japanese exclusive for several years. However, the fighting game finally found its way to the worldwide market with Phantom Breaker: Omnia. This title mainly follows a story that tells of a major tournament that is started in Tokyo Japan with the winner of the tournament being able to have a single wish. This upcoming Omnia will be an updated version of Phantom Breaker: Extra, adding some new gameplay and tweaks to the base game. Unfortunately, we don’t have a specific release date yet just when we can expect the title but it is expected to launch at some point in 2021.
Dawn of the Monsters
Dawn of the Monsters is one of the upcoming Nintendo Switch fighting games that have the player traverse a city as a giant monster, where your goal is to destroy other giant monsters that roam the area. seek to harm humanity. The goal is simply to clear the area from these monsters and save a day, the same way we portray the various Godzilla movies.
This is expected to be a 2.5D title with RPG upgrades along with cooperative gameplay. Unfortunately, we don’t know when we’ll get a copy of this game as it’s not slated for release until late 2021, so there’s a good chance we’ll see this game delayed in 2022, but for now, we will have to wait and see.
