Brainiac Power and Abilities
His unlimited intelligence and remote control are his most powerful traits, as well as his connection to his ship. He can also collect other planets and turn them into smaller, collectible versions of themselves. Right on his back and shoulders, four super mechanical tentacles are powerful enough to deal with both Superman and Batman at the same time while he crosses his arms. In addition to the usual super strength, endurance, reflexes, agility, and speed, Brainiac can also heal dangerous wounds with relative ease.
Brainiac Move list
(Air) Tendril Swing
Down, Back + Light Attack
His tassels clung to the ceiling and allowed him to hover in the sky. This is a powerful option for getting around the playing field.
Down, Back + Medium Attack
He turned from his back to the sky. If your opponent is not in the air, it won’t hit them. However, it cannot be blocked once you have them on your tassel. The burning watches will increase the damage caused by this attack.
Down, Forward + Medium Attack
This attack shoots the tassels out of his arm and deflects the opponent. This attack is quite annoying, meaning it can be used when the opponent is getting up and if they don’t block they will be hit immediately upon getting up, so use it with someone you think Will does not block when waking up. This clocked version will deal more damage and push the opponent to the other side of the stage.
(Air) Pneumenoid Diver
Down, Back + Medium Attack
When you jump and do this move, Brainiac takes a dive that is sure to make his jumps much more dangerous to the opponent. These foot dives can happen no matter which direction he jumps in. When the meter burns the move, he will kick the opponent to the ground and fly into the air. Enemies go into a juggling state that creates great potential for a combination.
Back, Forward + Heavy Attack
With his shoulders forward, he attacks his enemy. A handy tool to narrow a gap quickly without dashing. The burned watch version deals more damage and knocks his opponents further away.
Skull Ship is his super move that starts with a rope that hits the opponent on the screen. This hook-up attack causes his troops of Beta troops to hold the enemy off long enough for his Skull Ship to approach. The ship then shoots its beam down to “collect” the opponent and deal a lot of damage to them.
Beta Strike allows Brainiac to launch a Beta, one of his henchmen, flying into the opponent to stab them. They slowly fly across the screen and the player can hold down the character’s Power button to delay the attack. Hold down while pressing the Character Source button to let the Beta fly high and drop bombs from above on the opponent. This can also be delayed.
