Riot Games has just revealed on its official Valorant website new information pertaining to Valorant First Strike esports event, including formats, rules and key dates.
This is the first time Riot Games has taken care of its own VALORANT tournament series. Hence, fans can be sure that game developers will do whatever it takes to have a good competitive environment.
Valorant First Strike Rules
For European events, the Open Qualifiers will be held from 9 to 22 November. All participating teams have four chances to reach the knockout round. They can join four separate tournaments for two weeks.
- Qualifier A – Nov 9-10
- Qualifier B – Nov 11-12
- Play-In #1 – Nov 13
- Playoffs – Nov 14 -15
- Qualifier C – Nov 16-17
- Qualifier D – Nov 18-19
- Play-In #2 – Nov 20
- Playoffs – Nov 21 -22
For the competition, teams are only allowed to include players over the age of sixteen with at least 1st Immortality.
After the play-in match has been completed on November 13 and 20, the knockout round will begin. Then these teams have to get everyone’s best on their way to the final event in December.
For the Riot Games Valorant First Strike esports tournament, these details and rules are pretty standard. This event hosts the three best games in the entire tournament except for the finals with the best match on December 6.
The Brazil Tournament kicks off on October 17 with four Open Qualifiers matches. All of these qualifiers can only support up to 512 teams. Out of these 2048 teams, only 32 will face their next leg on November 14 and 15.
- Open Qualifiers # 1 and # 2: 17 and 18 October & 24 and 25 October
- Open qualifiers # 3 and # 4: October 31 and November 1 & 7 and November 8
- Final Qualifiers (Closed): November 14 and 15
Like the European version, eight of the best teams join the First Strike in December. Riot Games also added a specific rule for Brazilian leagues regarding the nationality of future participants. All teams wishing to participate in this event must have at least three players from Brazil.
Korea – VALORANT First Strike
Korea’s First Strike event is much simpler. The 24 teams that will take part in the November event are the teams with the highest Pulse Points. After two rounds, the final eight teams were decided for the December event.
Additional information will be available over the course of several weeks, especially for regions such as North America, Japan, CIS, Turkey, MENAI, LATAM, SEA, and OCE. However, Riot Games decided to tailor its event to the local population and restrictions. Fans will be expecting a great sight, especially between December 3 and December 6. Knowing these rules and dates, fans have high expectations for the VALORANT First Strike tournament.
For those of you who are competing in First Strike, start building and practicing with your roster right now. The event will conclude with multiple regional finals taking place from December 3 to 6.
Death 1 will generally be eligible to compete in the qualifying rounds, but we recommend checking the full rules and policies after they are released. First Strike will offer a variety of regional finals taking place across North America, Europe, CIS, Turkey, Asia, Oceania, Brazil, and the Middle East.
