Valorant Weapon Guide – Marshal

Marshal is one of two snipers in Valorant. While the Moderator is loud and proud, it comes up with a more agile approach in exchange for the damage inflicted.

Given that you will be scoped most of the time using this weapon, movement speed is important. With that said, it gives you much more agility than Moderators. Let’s dig a little deeper into what makes this weapon so special.

The Marshal – it’s time to no-scope

What are snipers wearing today? That’s right, Sheriff. Instead of making the operator loudly BOOM like the other ADCs in the game, the Marshal kills his opponents quietly and with style. Hurry up, snip, and adios! You need to have good goals and be agile for this. Run-and-gun meets sniper.

Damage, fire rate, and more

The Marshal is the Operator’s less noisy brother. Let’s start by saying that a shot on an unarmored opponent will take them down, as it deals 101 damage. A shot in the head will always result in a kill as it deals 202 damage. It has a 2.5x zoom that is enough to take precise pictures most of the time. Like the Operator, it does not have any damage down to 50 meters.

Its rate of fire is 1.5 shots per second and is twice as fast when compared to the OP. The gun has a quite small magazine with only 5 bullets. In rare cases, you have to reload, you might get in trouble.

Don’t worry as it is also capable of firing well at close range thanks to its precise shot ability. If you want no rival then this is a better sniper. It also has moderate wall penetration so wall smashing is an option in most cases.

Marshal strategy

Hide, aim, shoot. That’s true for a lot of snipers, but it is different. Because while we often like to hang around with snipers, a Marshal is such a nimble choice that people prefer to use it to hold points or even take positions. Going around a corner with a good aim shot and killing the enemy in the process makes much more sense with this gun than waiting for the enemy to find you.

When should you buy it?

At a cost of 1,100 credits, this sniper is a great deal. It’s four times cheaper than the Operator. Four times! This gun is a great option when you want to squeeze in because it won’t pull your budget too much. You can even get some kills and hinder your opponent’s economy. Light marksmen are also great in the face of enemy ecology, as anyone without a shield will instantly take it down with just one shot.

The best agents for the Marshal

Basically, Marshal can be used by every agent in the game, but as usual, some are better than others. Any agent capable of allowing them to get information about the enemy’s location is excellent. This includes Sova with Recon Bolt, traps, and Cypher’s camera. Another good option would be Reyna, who can jump on enemies with her Leer. This will also allow her to have the ability to harvest an orb for her other abilities.
