The following page has helpful tips for Warhammer Vermintide 2. Practical getting started tips that will help you get into the game and enjoy success faster. The following list will show you how to play, what to avoid, and what to keep in mind.
Table of Contents
Taal’s Horn Keep – Warhammer Vermintide 2
There is no classic menu in the game where you can choose quests or craft items. Instead, you’ll be taken to Taal’s Horn Storage. It’s the main place in the game where you can do all the desired activities and upgrade your character. Below is the full list of features you might want to know:
- Open chest
- Start the quest
- Get rewards and browse Okri’s Challenges
- Forging and crafting items
- Equip new items and weapons
- Selection of talents and perks
All operations can be performed by standing near the specified objects. For example, the smithy lets you open the crafting menu. And when you’re standing next to the map, you can select and start a quest. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to do something right away.
Make every healing count
In Warhammer Vermintide 2, the primary source of healing is healing manuscripts and medical supplies. Supplies restore more health, but last longer, so remember to use these items wisely. You won’t find too many of them on the map, so don’t use them until you have very little health left. It is worth mentioning that you can also heal your teammates – with the help of medical supplies you can heal them directly and can give healing drafts.
Use bombs and surroundings
You will have to fight a lot of enemies while playing. To succeed, you need to use bombs found on the map – be it explosive or incendiary. They are extremely useful for eliminating large groups of enemies – one bomb is enough to blow up even dozens of creatures.
Also, remember to use the environment nearby – dragging enemies into a narrow passage is much better than fighting them in an open field. Do you want to know more about the battle with your enemies? Please refer to the “Combat” section of this guide.
Enemies’ weak points – Warhammer Vermintide 2
In Warhammer Vermintide 2, you’ll meet not only the weak Skaven, but also powerful, armored enemies. While fighting them, you should focus on their weakness. For example – Stormvermin’s weak point is its head while Mauler’s weakness is its belly. Weapon attacks that don’t have penetrating attacks aimed at enemy armor (not their weak point) will be ineffective.

What is the best class?
This is a question that many players are asking themselves, but there is no way to give a definite answer. All characters, and even their classes, are very different and require a different approach and play style.
The recommended hero for beginners is Markus Kruber, and more specifically his mercenary class, a versatile and universal character that can cope in any given condition. It’s true that he doesn’t deal as much damage as Sienna Fuegonasus or Kerillian, but his high health combined with decent damage is a great compromise the early game.
